The Miracle Theater Seeks Multiple Talents for Multiple Shows

Pigeon Forge, Tenn., August 3, 2009 — The Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., one of the largest faith-based theaters in the country, will be holding auditions Sunday August 30 and Monday, August 31 for performers for three different inspirational shows planned for the 2010 season.

Singers, actors and dancers are needed for the three hit musicals which include the return of The Miracle Show, that portrays the life and miracles of Jesus Christ; the return of Exalt, a Christian music experience; and the Miracle Theater debut of the classic musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, that retells the biblical story of Joseph in a slapstick style.

Interested people must come prepared per the instructions at www.miracletheater.com. People are asked to call 865-428-7469, ex. 3450 to reserve an audition time.

“We are looking for people to fill many different roles in three very different productions,” said Robert Kalina, general manager of the Miracle Theater.  “Some of our roles are just acting and some are heavy singing and dancing roles. We are searching for male and female leads for Joseph as well as a Pharaoh/Elvis,” Kalina said.

“Both The Miracle Show  and Joseph  are Broadway-style musicals with costuming, lighting and special effects to rival anything in New York,” Kalina said.  “The Miracle is a serious and emotional production while Joseph is whimsical, fun, upbeat and comical.”

Far beyond a passion play, The Miracle  is a musical retelling of the life of Christ blending a soaring original score, thought-provoking lyrics and beautiful arrangements of inspirational familiar songs of faith. An emphasis is placed on the epic struggle between forces of good and evil, and an underlying theme of spiritual warfare provides an added dramatic dimension.

The Exalt Show  is a unique high-energy production that features a live band. The show highlights favorite Christian music including Timeless Hymns, Southern Gospel favorites, Contemporary Christian hits from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s and today’s best-loved Worship Music!

The Mission of the Miracle Theater is to present faith-based family entertainment through live theatrical productions revealing the person of Jesus Christ as the Living Word of God.  The Miracle Theater is locally owned and operated by David Fee and Jim Hedrick. The theater is part of the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group. Other theaters in the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group include The Comedy Barn, The Black Bear Jamboree and Magic Beyond Belief.
